Privacy policy
HeicKit has no account, no analytics, and no tracking. Your photos never leave your device.
Your photos
All conversion and compression happens on your device. Photos you select are read, processed, and written to the destinations you choose. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or copied off your device.
Converted copies are kept inside the app according to your Converted files setting: not at all, for seven days, or until you delete them. They stay on your device, are excluded from your iCloud backup, and you can remove them at any time from History — either the files alone or the whole record. Your original photos are never modified or deleted.
If you turn on automatic saving, HeicKit also copies each finished batch to your photo library, or to a folder you pick, or both. It only ever writes to the folder you chose, and it never overwrites a file already there.
HeicKit has no servers of its own, and nothing about your photos is ever sent anywhere. Purchases and iCloud photo downloads are handled by Apple's systems and by the purchase check described below.
What we collect
There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no crash-reporting service. HeicKit itself makes no network requests.
The one exception is purchases. HeicKit uses RevenueCat to check whether you have bought HeicKit Pro. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and an anonymous identifier it generates for your install. That information is not linked to your identity, is used only to keep Pro unlocked across your devices and reinstalls, and is never used for advertising or tracking. Nothing about your photos is ever sent to it.
Photo library access
HeicKit uses Apple's system photo picker, which runs outside the app. HeicKit sees only the photos you explicitly select and has no access to the rest of your library.
If you choose to save results back to your photo library, iOS asks your permission first. That permission is used only to write the files you asked for.
Purchases
HeicKit Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Your payment details are processed by Apple and never reach us. We receive only aggregated sales reports from Apple, which contain nothing that identifies you.
Retention, sharing, and deletion
Everything HeicKit stores stays on your device: your settings, your conversion history, and any converted files you asked it to keep. Delete them from History, or delete the app to remove all of it at once.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond the purchase check described above.
Children
HeicKit is rated 4+. It has no account, no advertising, and no tracking, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
