To provide our core functionality—scanning receipts and parsing items—Splitsy requires access to your device's camera and photo library.
AI Processing: We utilize an artificial intelligence (AI) service to recognize and extract data from your receipts. When you scan or upload a receipt, the image is transmitted securely to this AI service strictly for the purpose of parsing the text and numbers. We do not store these images on our own servers, nor do we use them to train AI models. Once the data is extracted and returned to your app, it is saved locally on your device.
Other than the AI service required to parse your receipts, we do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties, advertisers, or analytics services.
Your parsed data and histories remain on your device for as long as you keep the Splitsy app installed. If you wish to delete your data, you can do so by simply uninstalling the application from your device, or by clearing the app's local data in your device settings.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
